The idea
I wanted a screen that is always on and never glows. E-paper only uses power when the picture changes, so the board can sleep almost all the time.
How it works
The ESP32 wakes every 15 minutes, joins Wi-Fi, fetches a rendered image from Home Assistant, draws it and goes back to sleep.
